Does anyone know how big it is? It's in the online catalogue for about a tenner, but doesn't give the measurements. I need one for ds to help with his physiotherapy (pt have loaned all theirs out), but want to make sure it's the right size first.

65cm according to the catalogue. Would you need a smaller one for your son? You can find them online IIRC from about 45cm.

You probably would need a smaller one than the Argos one unless you've got a giant, I've got a 55cm one and I'm 1.65m tall. I think that when you sit on the ball, your thighs are supposed to be parallel to the floor.

Thanks gals. He needs it to roll on top of and over,so he can pick things up, a sort of stretching exercise. Also it has to be tall enough for him to rest his elbows on to use it to help him stand and balance. Shall go and get the tape measure out now.

I had a quick scout round but the child size balls I found were 30cm and 45cm but NOT burst resistant.

AFAIK, the problem with this is that you must ensure there aren't any sharp objects around. If the ball is pricked, it will burst like a ballon, whereas one that is burst resistant will slowly deflate.

we had a (not sure exactly what there called) space hopper type ball for dd to do the similar type of physio-it's in our shed if you want it as dd ended up with 2 courtesy of granny and nanny!!!
will check the measurements in the morning if you want me too

Chatee that's so nice of you! How much would you want for it? I measured ds and 65cm comes up to about his armpits. Dh reckons it's better to be too big than too small because he will get taller, and the pt said not to get one too small , so I guess the smallest it can be is 55 cm. I can see that I am going to have my hands full trying to stop the other 3 from trashing it though, they are mostly burst resistant aren't they?!

Hiya Lou33, I've just measured the space hopper and it's only 51cm in diameter so might be a bit small for your ds? how old is he now? dd used hers from the age of about 20 months to up until a couple of months ago when it became another piece of physio furniture-hence why it was in the shed-but you're welcome to it if you want it.
There's a yellow one with pooh bear on or a green one with a big smiley face(that was from Asda)but can't remember where the other was from.

He's 27 months chatee. I think the smallest we want is 55cm, or else he won't be using it for long. Thanks for offering though, it was very kind of you.
