Does anyone know a good place to look for holiday homes that will take large groups, 18+?

i think english country cottages have some. and country holidays?

and there are always those farm conversion type places that have lots of differently sized buildings all together - both brichures have lots of those in too.

The Landmark Trust does up old or unusual buildings (not generally domestic ones, so you get converted farms, water towers, forts etc as well as manor houses). Check out their website. They aren't cheap but have a huge and devoted following. My sister saw in 2000 on the roof of the Music Room in Lancaster with a group of friends. Magic.

Hear, hear for the Landmark Trust. Whichever one you pick will have loads of atmosphere and character. When we holidayed with them as children they had a policy of no tv or phone. Not sure if this is still the case.

A cheaper option though is the YHA which has a scheme where you can hire a whole hostel during the Off Season. They are usually large and comfortable and some are in lovely locations.
