How do I find out who it was please without ringing?

did it not say you had a missed call?

Yes and it lists the number but I don't know who it is.

is it a mobile number of a landline?

to be honest i would just leave it, if they wanted to get a hold of you they would have let it ring longer or rung back, if your really want to know your either gonna have to text back or call

I have been told by a friend, that it is a premium rate number when you call and they only ever let it ring once so that you see a missed call and ring it back. I have had quite a few recently.

I applied the same principal as cookielove said, if they want to get hold of me they will try again.

Put the number into the search on this site

It'll tell you who it is, if its a company.

I have no intention of calling them back but have to find out who it is due to other issues. Your link, bratley, seems to be for reporting who has called you not to identify them.

I tried google and got nothing.
