iota · 27/05/2003 13:28

whymummy, what do yours do to wind you up?

M2T · 27/05/2003 13:32

Good Afternoon Folks - Can I have a large one? And don't get me started on In-laws!!!

Mine have started adding their tuppence worth into our wedding arrangements.....
...you know the usual "You've GOT to have this..."
"Oh NO, You've should be doing it like that"

WHY?? Will I be any more married if I have f*cking favours to dish out????]
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

iota · 27/05/2003 13:34

hello m2t - poor you - we did a flit and got married in the Caribbean

M2T · 27/05/2003 13:35

.... But they always manage to add in at the end of the sentences.... "I wish we could help pay for something, but you know how hard up we are just now"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

They go out to the pub 4 nights a week! They live a wee distance from us and "couldn't afford" to come up for ds's first birthday. Now they are saying they won't be able to afford to come up for his 2nd birthday! It cost £40 on the bus (they prefer the bus) and we pay for EVERYTHING while they are here. If they just stayed in for 2 nights they'd have saved enough to come up!

HOW SELFISH???

But they expect us to travel down on the train with a toddler 4 times a year!

DRINK PLEEEEEASE!!!

whymummy · 27/05/2003 13:36

they just critisise everything i do,if is not one is the other, the children tend to play up when theyre here so they think theyre spoilt, also MIL extremely sarcastic, they both whisper when im around and its so obvious theyre talking about me,theyre really ignorant and have an opinion on everything,FIL takes over the remote control and nobody can watch a thing, also they expect everything to be like in their own house and won`t adjust to our way of doing things,oh god i could go on and on,i feel better though

iota · 27/05/2003 13:38

whymummy one of the things that made me smile this weekend was the battle for the TV remote beteewn FIL, DH and DS1 - I guess that it's all in the genes!!

TheOldDragon · 27/05/2003 13:41

Well, obviously you're not properly married if you don't have favours, I can't believe you're considering not having them! I trust you're hiring a chimney sweep to come and rub his lucky, sooty hands on your dress? Oh, and button holes. don't forget that EVERY guest must have a button hole.

What IS the world coming to??

whymummy · 27/05/2003 13:41

lol iota, last time they were here we had to watch tennis all b**y day!
m2t how awful yours sound as well, just to give you an idea of mine shes anne robinson and hes victor meldrew

iota · 27/05/2003 13:44
