hunkermunker · 05/06/2005 19:41

It's gone mental.

It's been weaned too young.

It's your ears playing jokes on you.

It's a big scary ghostie coming to get you.

Am I helping?

Whizzz · 05/06/2005 19:41

Loose wire ?

(The doorbell - not you)

jampots · 05/06/2005 19:42

if its wireless it must work on radio waves or similar so maybe your picking up next door's signal?

jampots · 05/06/2005 19:42

or maybe even something like the tv remote?

Whizzz · 05/06/2005 19:42

same thing used to happen with our door bell - would change its ring for no reason and drive me mad. Even changed itself to an infuruating 'dog bark' - which was more embaressing than aything else.

Does it have more than one ring setting?

Could the button be a bit stuck?

The batteries will be low, you lot are wrotten LOL put the hebejeebies up me just reading it

tomasinatank · 05/06/2005 19:54

yes, really. Changing batteries didn't help. I gave up and presumed it was just malfunctioning so ditched it. Dont have a doorbell now as the barking dog freaked me out too much although dh thought it was a good burgler deterent!?

Loose wire.

When I lived in a 3rd floor bedsit I had a doorbell which kept ringing. I'd go down and there'd be no-one there, even if I ran down.

Eventually, after scaring myself and thinking that some so-and-so was being annoying, worked out that it was a loose wire and fixed it.
