lol Ruthiemum - I've calmed down now.... I hadn't even had my coffee yet! I hate this "naming and shaming" culture.

I'd have let it lie had it been something worthwhile and my goodness I've put my foot in it many times.... but this time I really don't understand it at all.

This thread has succeeded in making at least one MN angry and paranoid!

suzywong · 06/06/2005 08:18

I think this syndrome owes a lot to the reality tv phenomano, all this voting people off and a massive popularity contest thing obliterating real substance

katierocket · 06/06/2005 08:19

so agree suzywong. Talk about the dumming down of MN!

I'm all for lighthearted silly threads but this is downright rubbish

Toothache · 06/06/2005 08:19

Suzywong - Have I been put to the public vote then?

Think I need to go have sex with someone publicly to win some votes eh?

suzywong · 06/06/2005 08:21

come on then you and me will have a rummage under a duvet and get the frot page of the Sun and some more votes for you

HappyDaddy · 06/06/2005 08:22

I haven't pe*d anyone off? I must try harder...

Toothache · 06/06/2005 08:24

Thanks Suzy.... Then we could have a MASSIVE drunken fall out and end up crying and huggig in the MN diary room.

And maybe if we throw furniture they'll send in the hunky security guys!

Toothache · 06/06/2005 08:25

HD - I'll teach you if you like?

HappyDaddy · 06/06/2005 08:26

Yes please, I'm feeling left out.

ruthiemum · 06/06/2005 08:31

Has the caffeine got hold of you yet Tootache?

Toothache · 06/06/2005 08:34

Ruthiemum - Yes.... I'm now fully fuelled. And maybe a bit wired, it was strrrrrong coffee!! [wired emoticon]

HD - Just disagree with certain MN'ers and you'll right at the top of their list of b@st@rds!

nutcracker · 06/06/2005 08:35

Can I just say In Toothaches defence, that on the thread Loulabelle is reffering too I too told her she was wasting her money etc etc but she hasn't felt the need to keep having a go at me....I agree with you toothy, it's strange.

SenoraPostrophe · 06/06/2005 08:35

that happydaddy always gets my goat. far too happy if you ask me

ruthiemum · 06/06/2005 08:36

Excellent! I'm just about ready after my 2nd cup to face today - have fun

Toothache · 06/06/2005 08:38

Thanks Nutty.

She went off on one on another thread where a MN'er was worried she was drinking too much. We were chatting away and I happened to mention that I had a hang over. She appeared on the thread saying what kind of parent can I be if I'm always hung over!! Very harsh and very uncalled for!

...anyway I'll drop it now. Don't want to be seen as dragging things on as she is! As far as I'm concerned the matter is dropped. I'll just avoid her like the plague.

can I start by saying I really really like Toothache .. enjoy your posts and everything

but ... way way back in the dim and distant when I was a relative newbie here .. M2T posted a quite cutting comment on something I wrote on the conception board (something that I had a lot of experience about) .. it took me a long while to get over it, and now whenever I see Toothache's name I think 'used to be M2T posted something not nice to me'

It is totally weird .. because I have never ever remembered anything else that people have posted nor held a grudge on anything at all .. it just seems to be that one comment

.. very bizarre

and may I just restate .. I think toothache is fab

Toothache · 06/06/2005 08:54

sigh< Sorry about that Twiglett. I cna only apologise for so long though.

And so it begins. Anyone else?

I'm not going to read this thread anymore.... it has now succeeded not only making me angry and paranoid, but also sad.

There are many MN'ers who I remember saying horrible things to me. I wouldn't name them though, as I know how it feels.

Twiglett - AGAIN I'm sorry for something I said to you perhaps over a year ago! But I haven't said or done anything controversial to LB22... I just haven't agreed with her. So I hope people haven't read you post and thought "ah poor loulabelle22, Toothache must have posted something awful".

Twiglett · 06/06/2005 09:00

No, you got me wrong .. there is totally NO NEED for apologies .. at least not from you .. maybe there is from me .. because it was nothing to do with what YOU said it was more to do with the state I was in when I read it

I find it quite interesting really how we perceive the written word .. because dependent on emotional state one can really read weird things into it that just aren't there

once again .. it is more for me to apologise .. and anyway it was at least 2 years ago

ruthiemum · 06/06/2005 09:00

Toothache please don't be upset, as a relatively new person who have always made me feel welcome and have always talked to me, you certainly don't give that impression to me

handlemecarefully · 06/06/2005 09:16

I'm not wowed by this thread.

Naturally there are people who piss others off, I know that I'm bound to pee a few Mnetters off, but I would be really upset if someone posted my name here.

I'm relieved to see that despite the length of the thread there has been very little naming and shaming.

Toothache - you and I fell out on a thread recently but I wouldn't put you on my list. In fact I don't really have a list since nobody pees me off consistently. Little spats from time to time are inevitable. I am sorry that you have been hurt by this Toothache, and loulabelle - you were out of order

Enid · 06/06/2005 09:18

can i admit i searched for my name before reading the thread properly and was relieved...

I don't like this thread, I think its silly.

of course there are mnetters that piss me off but I often think I'd probably really like them in RL - you never know. Anyway it depends what mood i am in.

Hulababy · 06/06/2005 09:18

I don't like this thread

handlemecarefully · 06/06/2005 09:18

and if I doesn't make you chunder, can I offer you a big cyber hug?

handlemecarefully · 06/06/2005 09:18

Enid, I did exactly the same!
