Theme: A broadway or West End Musical

Limitations:

1. As little hassle and expense as possible
2. Not too embarrassing to wear!

OOOOOOklahoma - cowboys, checked shirts etc?
Oliver - dss can be in Fagin's gang - trousers tucked into long socks, hankies etc; dh can be Fagin in long dressing gown over clothes, generally skanky-looking, you could Nancy in long skirt, corset affair and shawl?
the musical of Hair would be easy - they were all naked, weren't they?

Mary Poppins of course! you dress up in long black coat, hat and umbrella - u could carry the carpet bag also if you can get hold of one, dh wears wears scruffy suit with black soot all over him and a chimney sweep and your two children wear victorian children's clothes.
