What a good idea. I'll start planning that for next week's course. It may be lopsided and decidely ugly but you'll know it's been made with love. Choose your glaze, I can see the three tiers already.

I'm a bit sick of making pen pots and am wondering who I can palm them off to so any takers let me know.

sis · 20/05/2003 16:14

Oooh, meanmum, you and I have two common interests (if jobs involving employment law count as an interest!) and pottery. I used to do pottery before ds was born and loved it - the best bit for me was that I could just switch off and get really messy!

I would love to do a parachute jump in theory but I know that I'm too much of a scaredy cat to try it for real. Driving really fast on a race track looks like fun too.

  1. Throw a brick thru a large plate glass window
2. Conduct an orchestra 3. Be let loose on someone's credit card in Monsoon, Next and Pier!
Mum2Toby · 20/05/2003 16:27

Oh yes Lillibet - I totally agree with 1 and 3.

SoupDragon · 20/05/2003 16:29

Oooh, I've kind of done 3, Lilibet. Before we were married, DH gave me a Monsoon store card for Christmas for which he picked up all the bills... There was a rough limit of £50 per month mentioned and by the end of the January sales, I was up to July!

whymummy · 20/05/2003 16:43

cake fight any one??i did it once and it was the best thing ever, love to do it again, the children and i had a mud fight last summer in the garden and it was fun until i sobered up and saw the mess inside and out

XAusted · 20/05/2003 20:36

Driving a coach and four (horses). Know how to ride but not tried driving. Looks great.

Chinchilla · 20/05/2003 20:44

Lilibet - you nicked my glass idea! I want to do that, but with a large hammer...

I'd also like to press the detonator to blow up a condemned building.

Oooh, I'd like to be let loose in a sweet shop...oh yes, and do a supermarket trolley run, you know, where you get to keep what you pick up. AND, I'd like trampoline lessons.

Happycat · 20/05/2003 21:01

I have always wanted to have a go at feeding and playing with tigers somewhere.

Winning the lottery jackpot. Just the once, I'm not a greedy person.

Carmel · 20/05/2003 22:41

Ride a Giraffe

SamboM · 20/05/2003 22:43

This one is really sad...

Getting behind the counter at the post office and stamping things with their date stamps etc (always wanted to do it since i was tiny!)

Less sad

Heli-skiing
Sailing round the world
Being able to paint/draw

GillW · 20/05/2003 23:12

Xausted - I've done the coach and two, if not the four (used to do carriages for Weddings as a weekend business in the deep and distant past). My silly dream (which I probably don't have the courage to carry out) is wing-walking on a bi-plane!

dottyparker · 20/05/2003 23:54

playing the drums

Ghosty · 21/05/2003 05:12

Oooh yes ... I would love to do a sky dive and play with a tiger or a bear and blow up a building too!!
I would love to drive a racing car ... a rally car in all the mud ...
I would love to push a custard pie into someone's face ...
I really really really want to swim with Dolphins as I now live in NZ it is a real possibility....
I wouldn't mind having a natural childbirth of about 2 hours with no pain relief etc etc
I also wouldn't mind having a go at having a baby that never cried and slept all night ....

willow2 · 21/05/2003 09:52

Happycat - there's a place called (I think) Paradise Wildlife park in Broxbourne, Herts. For some reason they get a lot of lion and tiger cubs, that have been abandoned by their mothers, to hand rear. They used to - and may still - run a scheme where you could pay to play with a cub. The money is used for a vaccination scheme for dogs belonging to the tribespeople of the Serengetti. The dogs were all getting distemper and passing it on to the lions - who were consequently dying. So good fun for a good cause. Anyway, I filmed the cubs - several years ago mind - and they were gorgeous.

Anyway, here's my list ... and you might spot a theme here.

Ride an elephant on Safari - ideally would like to go to Botswana where some mad man has trained African elephants for this purpose, but India etc would do too. (Just got to win the lottery).

Take a racehorse out on the gallops.

Swim with wild dolphins (managed to throw myself off a boat last summer after spotting a turtle but that's as far as I've got).

Husky sled racing.

Make friends with a gorilla.

Go trail riding in the States - had an absolute Cowboy and Indian fixation as a kid (Thought all cowboys should be shot and the Indians should get their land back).

Go whale spotting.

Holly02 · 21/05/2003 13:30

I'd also love to ride an elephant willow2.

I've actually been swimming with dolphins and have also gone 'whale spotting' a few times - had a few really great experiences where they come right up to the boat to have a look at you. A mother & baby whale came right up to us once and I managed to reach over the side and touch them, really amazing and I'd love to do it again.

Sigh... so many things to do, so little time huh??!!
