Im constantly drowing in paperwork even though I regularly sort through and blitz it. Too much relies on my remembering where I have put something or I come up with a new system to organise it but it just doesnt work

Come on then - what do you organised types do?

Most bills are paid monthly by direct debit, so we just get statements which are filed in a lever arch file. All other stuff relating to the cars, insurance, savings etc is filed in a small filing cabinet. Dp is self-employed, so we need good systems in place to deal with his paperwork.

All our bank accounts, savings accounts and credit cards can be accessed online. I don't have any paperwork relating to my credit card or our joint accounts as I keep statements filed online.
