personalised chair for christening present?

I'm looking for a present that a boy might appreciate later in life as well as be useful when a child - any ideas?
My sister was given a lovely wooden child's chair with her initials engraved in which is still used for putting magazines/books on by the loo. Do you think parents might not appreciate the clutter, or does anyone know where I can get one?
