When do you stop re-directing previous owners mail?

We have been in this house for nearly 10 months and the previous owners have been gone over a year but we are still getting heaps of their mail.

I've stopped re-directing it now but I still feel a bit guilty for not doing it.

What has everyone else done?

We still get the odd thing for the people who moved out 8 years ago. One is a Xmas card from the same people, who never put a return address on. For 6 years I redirected it. The last 3 of those I wrote on the back could they tell these people their new address. Last year & the year before it went in the bin.

We keep getting notifications of job interviews too for someone who has never lived here. I have sent one back noted not known and actually rung the agency and asked why they've got our address but it keeps coming. Now that goes in the bin too.

same here we have been here 10 mths, their redirection ran out and now we get more mail for them than for us
Their payslips anc credit card statements and all the catalogues, if I were to fwd it, it would cost about a fiver a week and I'm simply not doing it!
So we return to sender addressee moved no fwd address.

piffle - you don't need to pay to redirect mail, just cross through the old address and write by the side the new. No extra postage needed

but buggered if I'm trekking to the post box with 8-10 letters a day and all that writing
Sorry but it is ALL their mail, them and their three daughters all at uni

I paid monthly for one big envelope because I was getting bored of writing their new address 20 times a week to redirect them. But I agree, that if they don't bother after a few months, then it their fault and you can bin the mail.

We did a redirection and left addressed stickers to make it easier for the people who bought our old place.

We are still getting mail for the people of the place we bought, I have returned most of it to the sender in the hope they will take the address of the database. (I think) the sender has to pay for this service so hopefully will work soon. Might do the MPS as well, thanks for the link.
