why is that a shame?

seems far more practical than a skirt for an active child

Anteater · 02/06/2005 11:16

Tell that to Braveheart!
I suppose I was expecting a mini Brown owl, and I got an Action girl

Anteater have you ever tried wearing a skirt to do the kind of jobs that Brownies have to tackle! No, I didn't think so!

You'll have us women dressed in crinolines next cos it looks nice

ruthiemum · 02/06/2005 11:36

I thought they all wore culottes?

hunkermunker · 02/06/2005 11:37

We wore dresses that looked SOOO big when we started Brownies and barely covered our bums by the time we finished!!

I'd have preferred trousers

purpleturtle · 02/06/2005 11:38

The daughter of a friend had an enormous pair of culottes for Brownies. She came home once complaining how uncomfortable they were, only for my friend to realise on inspection that she'd had both legs in one side of the culottes the whole time. I laughed till I cried the first time I heard that!

hunkermunker · 02/06/2005 11:38

PT - that's very funny!

Iklboo · 02/06/2005 11:40
