HELP...removing stain from favourite white top

DS splodged choc ice-cream over white cotton top. Because we were on holiday I didn't have time/inclination to do anythign about it. Have subsequently tried stain devil then washing but it's still there. Is it beyond repair do you think or is there a magic formula to make it disappear?

oxy-clean or oxy-vanish grabnuleas, rub them over the previously dampened stain, add a bit of fairy liquid too. it takes a few good minutes to clean it as you have to be quite gentle but thorough. then was a s normal. HTH

The oxy-clean spray is the most effective stain-remover I've found, but in general the more a stain has been washed and then dried, the harder it is to shift - so don't get your hopes up. Sorry.

if the top is white only, i gove it a sprar woth kitchen cleaner with bleach and then wash.

spot clean it with a cotton bud with bleach on it just on the stain specifically rinse in soapy water and then put it in a normal wash with other whites.

water bleach down first slightly, otherwise you will have a yellow stain.

I usually use non-bio powder but apparently for really tough stains a hotter wash 60 deg? with bio might do the trick. (she said sounding like a Daz ad.....)

I wondered about bleach but thought it might just fall to bits.

if you just put bleach on the stain you aren't subjecting the top to all over bleach so shouldn't be so hard on the top. Also rinse it out as soon as the stain is gone - you'll be able to see it disappear.

But white clothes are dyed too. Bleaching them will just make them go off-white, or so I believed.
What about white vinegar? I use white vinegar on everything, it's magical stuff!
