I thought a Census was taken every ten years, when did we have the last one - when is the next due?

I think it is due in 2011.

The next one is due to be done in April 2011. They happen every 10 years, and are always done in April because that was when workers are at home because it is a quiet time on the farm. Not so relevant these days though!

Thank you, what a bright lot you are! I'm interested because I'm researching my family tree and it dawned on me I've not completed one for ages.

I know because I work for a family history business, that is a line I am often repeating to customers!
