There are several threads by someone calling themselves Sonnia that I think need deleting ASAP, please

OP posts:
ghengis · 15/05/2003 16:27

I agree. Stop spoiling our website!

Bobbins · 15/05/2003 16:30

I sincerley hope it isn't a troll, but I have strong suspicion it is. YUK. Make the horrible thoughts go away.

I was wondering what the term troll meant too

Bobbins · 15/05/2003 16:53

firstly, I meant sincerely

secondly> Trolling is the process whereby people with nothing better to do, make other people with nothing better to do angry by telling them the opposite of what it is that they like to hear. Since most people don't want to hear 99% of the things it is possible to tell them, trolling is a very easy way to get people angry, and since angry people are great at making other people angry too, the troll can sit back and watch the fun, safe in the knowledge that he has not only wasted everyone's time, but he has made everyone mad too.

ie: they are not genuine posters with genuine problems

aloha · 15/05/2003 16:59

I wonder if 'Sonnia' also has daughters of the same age who like to be naked in the men's changing rooms, eh?

OP posts:
whymummy · 15/05/2003 17:04

it is a man,he can`t even spell sonnnia too many ns

Bobbins · 15/05/2003 17:07

Oh yeah, I remeber what has 'her' name? Did those threads get deleted. I hope so.

ThomCat · 15/05/2003 17:08

Oh, just seen this after replying to 'Sonnnia's' posting. Oh how odd that anyone would just make something up for the sake of it, how very, very sad. poor things, to have nothing better to do, it's almost laughable. What if she is genuine though???

aloha · 15/05/2003 17:10

Believe me 'she' isn't. 'She's' a sicko. never posted before, suddenly there's three weird threads all about bondage/restraint on children. 'She' posts, we answer, 'she' gets 'her' rocks off. Look, piss off, we know what you're doing you creep.

well thanks for alerting me. what a strange thing to do, have to feel sorry for 'her' really. Obviously has a boring life / no friends.
Pathetic isn't it.

Yes, thats what I was thinking

outofpractice · 15/05/2003 17:43

shouldn't we all take heart from the fact that Sonnnia is so dim and obviously dodgy? when perverts are that stupid, it makes me feel happy that keeping my children safe will be so much easier!

Jimjams · 15/05/2003 17:44

yep I thought that as well ks

yep think there might be another one on behaviour. Can these people be binned. Just can't be bothered with them.

Jimjams · 15/05/2003 18:20

whoops the other person isn't a perv- they're genuine. I just haven't seen them post before. They cracked a joke but I guess they haven't seen this thread - whoops! That's a relief I thought we were being taken over.

Marina · 15/05/2003 19:14

If you see a troll/perv on here, the quickest way to alert Mumsnet is to mail them on [email protected], then they can sort it out without giving said troll the satisfaction of any visible response. Attention's what they're looking for...

doormat · 15/05/2003 19:20

If it is a troll would tech be able to tell us who posted such offensive threads and will they be thrown off mumsnet.
If it is a perv will they report the matter to the relevant authorities.
Sorry if it is genuine question Sonnia but I think you and your dh need help.
If it is a troll you are a weirdo!!!!!!

janh · 15/05/2003 20:23

As far as I recall the changing room (Tanya or something like that?) poster's alleged children were older - doesn't mean it's not the same operson though.

And the language sounds American to me.

tigermoth · 16/05/2003 11:22

thanks tech for deleting those threads.

Sonnia, whoever you are, please seek help.

Rhubarb · 17/05/2003 17:08

How do you all know he/she is a perv? I've been thinking about this and I think it's just someone stirring, but not necessarily a perv. Are we not jumping the gun a little here? Probably just some student having a laugh. Anyway, if he/she wanted to make an impact they've certainly done that. Surely it would be better to simply delete such messages and then ignore them altogether? After all, it's the reaction they are looking for.

Bobbins · 17/05/2003 17:14

Rhuby> I think it was far more perverse and covert than somebody having a laugh. I think they got off on it, big time.
