Im looking for lovely little touches at my wedding.

I really want the day to be very memorable even though it isnt a grand affair.

Thinking back to weddings you have been to, what moved you or really made you smile?

ScummyMummy · 29/05/2005 20:44

I think it's a really good choice, honest. You look lush.

Enid · 29/05/2005 20:44

Enid · 29/05/2005 20:45

I had a naff tooth (a crown that had a dark bit at top) had it fixed in three weeks for the wedding, was sooooooooooooooo pleased about it

peckarollover · 29/05/2005 20:45

Enid · 29/05/2005 20:46

I put it on my visa

peckarollover · 29/05/2005 20:46

no, everything has totally changed now

16th july - gretna green - 70 people - no mince and dumplings in sight

OP posts:
peckarollover · 29/05/2005 20:47

£300 i could deal with - i will put it on the visa too (like anything else i buy including nearly the entire wedding lol)

only I have extortionately expensive winter wedding jacket with fur trim languishing in my wardrobe which I am dying to lend out

Enid · 29/05/2005 20:48

but useless for july wedding obviously

peckarollover · 29/05/2005 20:48

Im hoping not to need anything like that as the weather WILL be glorious

Gobbledigook · 29/05/2005 20:48

Oh come on - you look gorgeous in it! Don't fret!!

On the subject of weddings, I had a friend over last night and she's getting married in August - she, her dp and my dh persuaded me to try my wedding dress on again - not worn it since my wedding night 5.5 yrs ago! Rather chuffed to find I still fit in it and I didn't want to take it off!

Now all packed away again in it's tissue paper and box!

peckarollover · 29/05/2005 20:49

Im going to wear mine around the house or maybe get the corset made into a top to wear again

PuffTheMagicDragon · 29/05/2005 20:55

pecka, the dress is lovely and looks super on you - brilliant to have got it as a bargain, instead of full price.

PuffTheMagicDragon · 29/05/2005 20:56

ooh, my dress was/is Caroline Castigliano!

spacecadet · 29/05/2005 21:04

SenoraPostrophe · 29/05/2005 21:08

nice dress!

You do look good in it. A lot better than the bendy woman in the first pic too.

peckarollover · 29/05/2005 21:10

This is my toothless grin - think I need to ring dentist in the morning

Our wedding vows still make me feel all warm and fuzzy

"As I stand here today with the world as my witness,
I pledge to you my undying and everlasting love.
I will stand beside you as your partner,
I will stand before you as your protector,
And I will stand behind you as your solace.
Please spend and end your life with me."
