Pippi Longstocking? Angelina Ballerina? Madeline?

Stick a black cloak on her and she can be Hermoine from Harry potter.

There's a photo up at school from our last book day of a little girl done up as the Cat in the Hat, she looks wonderful.

My dd went to one as Winnie the Witch: stripy tights, blue dress, purple cardi, Witches hat, string of pearls, toy cat, wand

We had this not long ago. School warned me well in advance, i immediately forgot, then ds insisted he had to be Max in Where The Wild Things Are. So on the way home from school the night before we stopped off for fur fabric, I phoned the friend who'd borrowed my sewing machine, and I sat up very late indeed. Then ds won a prize and his slightly fierce teacher said how nice it was that he was so definite about who he was. Then I sat up much of the next night catching up on the work i should have been doing the previous night. But hopefully somewhere parenting credits are being gathered and this counts against all the times I've shouted at them...

janh · 13/05/2003 21:15

God, Dannie, I should say so! I think that counters anything bad you ever did!

Dannie · 13/05/2003 21:54

janh, it doesn't cos I spend much more time yelling at kids, ignoring them etc than i do making wolf suits. And if I make a wolf suit & then boast about it on Mumsnet it probably doesn't count at all. Never mind, ds was pleased. I just hope I can persuade him to be Harry Potter next year

Thanks for all the ideas. At the moment fave is Angelina but she is not sure if people have heard of Angelina here in New Zealand?
Will let you know how it goes. Thanks.

Oh dear, you'll have to make a white mouse suit

Britabroad · 14/05/2003 09:50

Thought ballet dress, ears on headband, tail and face paints?
