Hi everybody
Hope you all don't mind me posting here with the boring details of my life(!) but I'm looking for advice/suggestions on where to go next in my career.
I'm educated up to A Level standard and have done various other computing type courses and worked as an Administrator up until I had my ds. When he turned 3 I returned to work parttime as a medical secretary and 8 months on am still doing this. Basically, my return to office life has reinforced the suspicion in the back of my mind that I really don't want to spend my life doing an office job, although this is all I have done up until now. My other problem is that I have never had a clear cut idea of what I'd like to be. I have been recently thinking about teaching any maybe starting an OU degree in the short term (I need to be earning as well though, so can't study full time) although am not 100% sure. I always excelled at school and feel I am capable of being so much more and my work situation is really getting me down. I also need to earn while I'm training at whatever I decide to do. I know that you lot can't give me any easy answers but just wondered if anyone else has been in my situation. At school, I was best at subjects like English, History and hated Maths and Science, although passed all my exams in all the subjects. I feel that I would like to do a job that stretches me more, but like anyone with children, it has to have some degree of flexibility and I'm prepared to train.
Sorry to waffle on but I would appreciate ANY advice!!
