A long shot, but does anyone recognise this book title?

Both dds are studying the Victorian era this term, and one of the books they're reading at school is called 'Come back Lucy'. The library didn't have it, but gave me an SBN for it, our local, normally reliable bookshop said it was part of a school pack, and a picture book. According to dd1 it has a couple of line drawings in it, but is definately not a picture book.

I've tried Googling but all I get is Lucille Ball!

Any other ideas? TIAX

Thanks all! It's apparently out of print. Anyone got a copy they'd like to sell for less that £65 quid

Carla,
You can get it from Amazon! See the links I posted on Monday (message below).

Amazon: Availability: usually dispatched within 1 to 2 working days £3.50

Amazon re-sellers the bookseller: "Brand New. Stocked in the UK, originally sourced direct from the Publisher. Delivery is usually 3 working days from order by Royal Mail

Amazon are the biggest on-line bookshop & very reliable (www.amazon.co.uk)

Carla,
Jacqueline Wilson has also written a good one about a girl in the Victorian era called the Lottie Project.

Durrr!! Sorry!! I think I must have copied the wrong title from one of the post below. You are quite right it is out of print in the UK. It's a bit of a long shot, but in the USA it was published under "mirror of danger", and you could order it from Amazon.com (the US branch)

www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0671428926/qid=1117137403/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/104-6728005-2596766?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

My dh has ordered from the States Amazon branch quite successfully, but I'm not sure if the resellers there will ship, and what sort of cost that might be.

Sorry for the useless links (and probable grumpiness of my last post! )

Ooohhh >

Charlotte Sometimes was one of my favourite pre-teen book - haven't thought about it for years and years.....ahh nostalgia (set during WW1, rather than Victorian times though?)
