Have you ever done this? Sorry it's going to be question overload now ....

How old were your children? Were they in cots or beds? How often did you go back up to the room to check? Would you do it if the hotel rooms and the restaurant were in buildings next to each other? Did you lock them in or not?

No - never done this - never would.
I would personally prefer to have my children with me at all times - either in buggy or asleep on the seats next to me. Can you imagine what you would do if there was a fire. Slim chance I know. Or even if the fire alarm went off and was a false alarm. Imagine how terrified they would be. Each to their own I suppose, but I couldn't.

We do this - one of us pops back up to the room every so often [slack mother emoticon] from age zero.

"Did you lock them in or not?"

I can't believe you're even asking that question.

Actually, I can't believe you're even considering leaving your kids alone in a hotel room.
