Totally humiliating!!!

I have just returned from a shopping trip to Bluewater feeling totally crap!! It was my birthday yesterday and I received money from a few people so I went out to revamp my wardrobe. Seeing as I had a few quid, I thought I would treat myself and go to a few shops I normally couldn't afford and I couldn't believe it - NONE of the clothes went up to my size. I am a 14 and didn't consider myself particulary large before!! I think it is disgusting, it's encouraging people to think that 'thin' is the only way to look.

Nutjob -Totally have my sympathy - I'm 14-16 and even M&S now has weird smaller sizing. I can imagine the type of shops you meant - I've only ever darkened their doors wearing black and heading for the accessories.
I can occasionally really squeeze into a 12 but bf has blown my boobs up to a 34J which is rather disturbing. I have no clothes that fit me well - everything in my wardrobe is so tight it makes me look like a right slapper.
Being 5ft doesn't help either - I have to really hunt to find anything in a petite size. moan moan moan moan.
My mum says I'm the opposite of anorexic where I imagine myself to be thinner than I really am - then get sooooo gutted when out shopping. even if I could pluck up the courage to look in shops for larger ladies - how many do petite sizes????

The worst shop I went into was Morgan, it had a little sign up which explained what the sizes meant Size 1 was an 8, size 2 was a 10, and size 3 was a 12/14. I thought me getting a size 12/14 was pushing it, but as I really liked some of the tops there I thought I would try one on to see, however, there were NO SIZE 3's IN THE SHOP!!!! Loads of sizes 1's and the occassional size 2. I couldn't believe it!!

Morgan was top of my suspect list!!! Have tried on an alleged "size 3" if that's a 12/14 then I'm a turd.

Try East, their medium is like a size 16! Bobsmum hope you are wrong as wouldn't like you to be a turd.
