Jamster adverts - pleeeease release me from this Hell !!!!!

Is anyone else driven to distraction with the Jamster adverts currenly on Channels 3, 4 and 5? I feel really strongly about this and have complained to the Advertising Standards Authority and Ofcom. I live in South West so might not affect you all, but at the moment the advert is on EVERY commercial break on independent channels. I counted 5 adverts in one hour!!! Not only is it irritating, it is totally unethical. The terms and conditions flash across the bottom of the screen, no time to read it, if you register it costs you over £3 per week which they take from your mobile and it is impossible to stop. I only know about this because DD2 inadvertently signed up without knowing what she is doing and was beside herself when her credit just disappeared. Please complain if you can!!!

Too right. But its not just what it looks like, it is also what it is selling. There was been huge bad press about these mobile ringtones lately so I cannot believe they can saturate the market like this (sorry I have my grumpy old woman mood coming on....!)

Sorry but I love them but I think thats because my son does a great impression of him. He even does it in the nude which is hillarious. I wish I could sensor my son . The axel F one is even better.

next time you get a message from them send a text staying "stop" and you wont be charged anymore.
this happened to me and dh.he ordered the original frog tune and i ordered sweety the chick.when we got our mobile bills there was about £40 in charges for these.i phoned t-mobile who said theyve had loads of complaints but its legal what they are doing.they gave me a number to send "stop" to and i havent been charged since.cant remember the number anymore but phone your mobile provider and im sure they'll have it or wait till you get the next text and just send a reply saying stop!

My dh signed up 10 times without realizing he'd done it (ok so he's really technologically challenged). We're on contract to t-mobile and I called and complained really loudly. They gave me some nonsense about it being a third party and nothing to do with them. I said that was ridiculous and said that if they didn't call the company and stop the texts (some of them were pornographic), I would cancel my contract (been with them for years and spend lots of money on our mobiles). I also insisted on a credit for all the charges and got it!
I've been so busy, but will complain to Ad standards and ofcom as soon as I get a minute.

Thank you Bubbaloo and Sofia. My DD did text STOP and yes that did work. But it cost £2.50 to text and £2.50 for them to send an acknowledging text back! I know you can stop these things but it is wrong in the first place. My DD was terribly upset and I don't think it is spelt out what you are letting yourself in for! So far no response from ASA (advertising standards authority)after 2 complaints from me!! Watch this space!!!

im afraid i love it although it gets annoying when the adverts are on 3 times in 1 break. have to say i have the frog 1 the chick 1 and the dragon my dd likes them especially when i put phone on her tummy and it vibrates 2 (can tell she gonna love ann summers)
