Lemon syrup cake or banana bread? Shorbread biscuits? Darjeeling? Earl Grey? Tescos value teabags? Tall skinny decaf latte with cinnamon?

Fio - we're having a curry, so will have to get off my ar$e and cook something for the kids in half and hour

WigWamBam · 19/05/2005 16:15

Ah, not a Starbucks fan then, Soupy?

It's tall, it's wet and it's a latte. Next question?

Fio2 · 19/05/2005 16:18

not the rice?

WigWamBam · 19/05/2005 16:18

Flipping heck, I thought us SAHMs were supposed to spend half our lives in Starbucks, how could you not know that?

lima · 19/05/2005 16:20

hmmmmm rice and naan - a little lacking in the veg and protein dept maybe

Lonelymum · 19/05/2005 16:20

But most of the time we lounge around in our pjs WWB so of course we don't get out to Starbucks.

Fio2 · 19/05/2005 16:20

lima what about the cucumber salad

Fio2 · 19/05/2005 16:21

and you can suck the curry sauce off the chicken before you give it to them

gosh this is just like a SAHM get together, isnt it

WigWamBam · 19/05/2005 16:23

There's always that to it, lonelymum. But if I have to get out of bed on a Friday morning to take dd to nursery then it's easier to slob at Starbucks than at home - after all, I'm far too lazy to shift my fat arse and put the kettle on.

SoupDragon · 19/05/2005 16:31

I think Cafe Nero have a different terminology. I don't know - I only ever order a medium filter coffee because I'd feel like a tw*t asking for anythign else

SoupDragon · 19/05/2005 16:31

You need a kettle and small fridge near your sofa WWB. Anything else is just bad planning. A chamber pot is useful too.

Couldn't add to the other thread as it made me to I need sugar. And chocolate. In fact I'll have all the choc. hobnobs and a slice of cake please. And just a glass of water please...my foetus won't touch caffine

Nome · 19/05/2005 16:45

My fat arse lounges in my glider chair, it tilts, so it's much easier to lever my v. dull, over-educated self out of.

More chocolate please.
