Are there any cinemas which will allow a newborn into an adult showing?

My little independent in the Lakes used to but all the big cinema chains where I live now seem a bit sniffy about the idea.

I can see why they are not keen but last time I did this you simply would not have known I had a baby attached through the movie.

So, are there any that allow breastfeeding infants in?

Where are you Hobbgoblin?

I think we may have a Vue cinema that does mother and baby showings. We have an excellent independant too that does. (Norwich)

I think there is one too in Edinburgh

Most big chains do showings in the daytime that you can take your baby to.

Very old thread on same subject!

Thanks for digging that out Fimbo!

MC - I want to see Bruno, will have to check whether it is on in the day but was planning to go for evening out as distraction from overdueness as of tomorrow! Sod's Law that booking anything will make baby arrive.

I phoned Vue who said no babies at 18 showings.

What just in case they pick up the odd swear word or see scenes of an adult nature!

Bloody hell that is odd!

Odeon also only show ones 12a and under - I went the day DS was due though - very uncomfortable 2 hours - and Bridget Jones II was crap which didn;t help!

Good luck on the birth though.

Odeon have special sessions for people with babies

(I see someone already said that )

Odeon and showcase do mother and baby showings too.

blowninonabreeze · 09/07/2009 19:13

I used to go to mother and baby sessions at odeon and vue BUT they wouldn't show 15s or 18s.
That may be your sticking point.
