gerbils

A little prosaic but...can anyone recommend a good make/model of gerbil cage. DS getting a furry pair for his birthday, and I heard bars were bad, glass is good.

we got a gerbil cage from Pets at home - they call it a gerbilarium (I think) - it is likle an aquarium bottom with a more traditional 'cage' bit on the top - out 2 love it.

They love to dig so need plenty of sawdust - and can chew through most things so would chew their way out of most hamster cages.

Fab pets though - we've had ours for just over a year and they are lovely
