well, obviously someone who's not like me

but what I want to know is, if you're a snob if you're at private school and if there are waynetta's at private school, can waynetta's be snobs?

deliberate misuse of apostrophe's for you ks

I was at the park on Saturday with a friend. We saw a woman about 8 months pregnant, fag in one hand, a can of Carling Black Label in the other and surrounded by loads of kids. Simultaneously we said to each other "look, its Waynetta".

SamboM · 06/05/2003 12:25

I look like a waynetta today. Except I don't smoke and carling is vile, give me a can of stella any day (or a nice bottle of wine)

Bobsmum · 06/05/2003 15:27

we used to call them "sengas", (the bloke version being a "ned" usually with pineapple style ponytail, shell suit (white), seen riding in boy racer cars.
Worryingly, where I live there is no word for them, because they are all "them". erk.

Bobsmum · 06/05/2003 15:27

that was meant to be a bracket not a smiley - soz.

Rhubarb · 06/05/2003 15:57

I used to be treated like I was a Waynetta in Oxford because of my Northern accent. Funny how you suddenly become invisible to certain people! It didn't help that I was drinking pints too - how unladylike!

What is opposite of Waynetta? Is it someone who drinks Pimms, has manicured nails, coiffured hair, trowel full of make-up on her face, fag-holder and the Queen's accent? Hope I'm not describing anyone here!

SamboM · 06/05/2003 16:02

Sounds like Tara P-T to me!

Metrobaby · 06/05/2003 16:39

Opposite of Waynetta ?? Henrietta I expect !!! As in Hooray Henrietta !!

Ducks down and runs - having just read acrimonious other thread in horror !!!

SamboM · 06/05/2003 19:16

Just had a Waynetta moment

Baby threw up on the dog and the dog ate it.

Oh I love motherhood....

PS took off lovely new linen trousers before taking dd out of high chair.

It won't go into a link but could this be a candidate?

MABS · 06/05/2003 19:29

Oh Meid ........you saw me

Rhiannon · 06/05/2003 20:41

Well there's one with a big fat belly and a t-shirt that's always too short and probably got her BB pierced but I've never looked but presume that's why the fat white, belly shows.

There's one celeb. ex wife and she always looks so perfect but she's definitely Waynetta in disguise.

willow2 · 06/05/2003 22:06

SamboM - am dead jealous that you have a ridgeback - even if it is a puke-eater.

willow2 · 06/05/2003 22:06

And before anyone starts - I'm talking about SamboM's dog, not making a nasty comment about her physique.

SamboM · 07/05/2003 09:27

She is a fantastic dog I must say. We are in Richmond Park most days, maybe see you up there (you won't see her tied up outside Waitrose as I'm too scared she'll be dognapped)

Metrobaby · 07/05/2003 09:30

SamboM - I take it the dog ate the baby sick and not the baby

Bobsmum, curious to know where you live?

Bobsmum · 07/05/2003 13:47

Currently live in grotty new town in Hertfordshire (don't want to be too specific - might offend someone - but you can narrow it down!). Used to live in west end of Glasgow. Went to a posh primary school in Bearsden where the "skimos" (and waynettas) would invade the playground and threaten the teachers with bricks - great awakening from pampered childhood!!
