Emissions warning light

has flashed on our 1994 Clio on two occasions as we reach the brow of a particular steepish hill. Garage will look at it next week to (hopefully) diagnose the problem. In the meantime any ideas as to likely cause and whether it would be covered by AA warranty (only bought this at Easter )

My Fiat POunto does this every time I go over approach 70mph. 68mph, really.

The garage just say ignoire it if it drives OK. I have sent it in twice now.

They do seem quite laid back about it. Engine is a bit rough on gear changes too - maybe linked ?

Is flashing on the least hill now and didn't go off when I stopped

just had our sept 2003 astra fixed after the emissions light had been on constantly and flashing when going over 30mph.

diagnosis check brought up 3 faults but was solved by changing the spark plugs and me being £80 lighter.

and you didn't cause any damage driving it in the meantime ? dh has taken it to work ...
