How much to sell books for at a bootfair

Hardbacks £1? or is that too much these days?
Paperbacks - good well known ones 50p?
others 25p?
Trilogies £2.50 for all 3?

Too much, not enough?

I did mine for 10p each, too cheap really however I wanted to shift them!

All of them? 10p for hardbacks too?

My more valuable ones, they are being taken to a bookshop this week, hope to get a good job lot price for them. These are roman history ones. Maybe, maybe I could take some of the better quality trilogies to the bookshop too, might get a couple of quid for them, then knock out all the other stuff at 10p each?

it depends how much you want to get rid of them.
As I said, I think I sold V V V cheaply, however I did get rid of them - which is what I wanted.
25p will likely also shift them.

Take them ALL to the ookshop and see what they offer, then make your mind up - you don't have to sell for what they offer.
Or perhaps take them in different trips? Specialist ones, nice ones, junk ones.

Oh chasing - thats a good idea! I did not really consider selling them all to the bookshop!

I have hundreds of them. Just cleared out our loft for loft conversion which starts tomorrow and our bedroom is chock full!

So, we are going to keep the best ones for new bookshelves going up. But DH is a bookworm so it won't be long before the bookshelves are full again, so no point keeping them all.

Its partly space, and partly that I want a new pushchair for new baby. DH has agreed that if I can make 2/3rds with books and bootfair, we can put the rest towards it! So yes I wanna get rid of em, but also need to make some money

in which case at the car sale try 50p or 3 for £1?
Can always drop, 30p each, 4 for £1.

I pay up to £1.50 in the charity shop for second hand books.

Pav I've just done a car boot this morning and made £105 odd . Which I was veh pleased with! I sold hardbacks for £1 and papers for 50p.

mrsmaidamess where are you? I guess that will make a difference? You were selling what I considered. £105 is pretty darn good! If I can make that, I will be a very happy bunny. We will probably sell half our collection, so £100 is realistic.

I did one today and the people opposite were selling romance ones for 3 for £1.

My friend sold hers at £2 hardback, £1 paperback.

50p each and £1 for hardbacks sounds reasonable for here (north west) do you have a secondhand market or bookstall as opposed to a shop? they buy books off you.

unfortunately, the only secondhand bookstall in the market (which was fab and I would probably end up buying more books than selling!) has just disappeared . It was there forever and now he has gone .
