Story is recently we moved into a first floor flat.
I have a 2 year old DD and 13 month old DD.
The 2 year old has only very recently learned to travel up and down stairs.
My dilemma is that its such hard work to get both of them out alone that I feel Im stuck inside the flat all the time.
I would love to take them out to the park, groups etc and I feel bad for not doing it as often as I would like.
We have a single buggy in the car and a double buggy in the outhouse, but to get either of these would mean leaving the kids alone or letting go of DD1 hand and her running off.Just to get in the car is hard.
There is a place downstairs where I could leave the buggy but the housing association says you shouldnt...plus the woman upstairs has about 3 buggies, scooters, trikes car seat and rubbish accumulated under there.
So anybody got any advice on how I could more easily get out and about with the kids on my own? Thanks.

sling for the little one? reins for the bigger one? until you can get buggy out of the car at least?

instead of using reigns for the little one which is a vey good idea, you could also use wrist straps, there's two types that i've seen one that is made of a type of elastic that is strong and just a plain material reign type strap, this could be more helpful as you can attach it your wrist and to older dd's wrist, there for when getting you pushchair out she is still attached to you but you don't have anything in you hand to have to hold on to to get in the way

do you drive? is it easier to go out in the car?

also if you arent getting out at all you could give []www.home-start.org.uk/ homestart]] a ring?

Thanks...I might actually look at the wrist strap idea.
Its easier to go out in the car but I still have to get them there which is hard with DD1 running off.
