B'day present idea's for Niece turning 2 - anyone?

It's my neices borthday next week and she will be 2.

She is into anything girlie and pink but i am strugglig with what to get her. My DD is only 10 months old so not had the experience of a 2 year old before.

Can anyone suggest something a bit different?

Some thing construction or creative perhaps ?
Brightly coloured peg board, art materials or playdough.
Wooden chunky thread-on beads, buttons or cotton reels.
Dressing up/role play ie. teaset

Books?

Dolls and accessories
Dress up
Imaginative play things - kitchen things, play figures,
Happy Land - DD (just had 3rd birthday - also very girly - but collecting for a while) adores it and plays with it for hours
Books, with a finger puppet or two related to the story
Craft stuff - paints and sticjy things : big feathers, pom poms, sparkly bits
DVD - DD loves most of the Disney ones
