bournemouth: how far is beach from railway station

want to go for the day tomorrow, travelling by train, cold we walk to nearest beach

I think it's about a 20 minute walk to the pier

DH says it's a fair walk, about half an hour. He used to live there. He says buses are very frequent though.

It's a fair way, I wouldn't walk it, but then I'm not a great walker.
