mum2toby · 25/04/2003 09:11

Hey that's when I get married AND like Edgarcat I might be preggers so I won't be able to drink.... ahem.... not that it's THAT important to me...

mum2toby · 25/04/2003 09:11

Custardo

mum2toby · 25/04/2003 09:12

OOOPS I meant "like Edgarcat SAYS"....

SoupDragon · 25/04/2003 17:01

So, any mumsnetters at Godstone Farm today? I stared at lots of women to look for signs of withdrawal symptoms!

Can't manage the "conference" unfortunately

Hughsie · 25/04/2003 17:06

A friend of mine recommended mumsnet but I dont know if she posts on it - I find all the dh ds stuff a bit strange and took ages to work out what everything meant. I feel odd about recommneding mumsnet to friends as i feel they could identify me easily as I am quite open - this is alright most of the time apart from the odd breakdown that I would prefer to stay anonymous for!

jobey · 25/04/2003 17:16

we went to monkey bizz in rocester today and swanley park on Wednesday and I found this thread funny because that was just what I was wondering as I was looking around at everyone.Perhaps there should be a funny hand signal invented or some sort of code like secret agents.

Clarinet60 · 25/04/2003 17:50

hear hear hughsie. I don't recommend it any more, selfishly, but I'd hate to be recognised

whymummy · 25/04/2003 18:13

i was in richmond today and found myself looking for mumsnetters as well, did anybody see me?hysterical mother shouting at a boy and a girl growling at husband?no?thank god!!

Furball · 26/04/2003 20:44

Chris from Cbeebies had a smiley T shirt on today, could he be a secret Mumsnetter?

Meanmum · 26/04/2003 20:49

Ok, there seem to be a few who are up for a night away. I was thinking about this more and for those single mums who find it hard to get away for a night of course you should bring the kids. We'll choose somewhere that is very child friendly so we can have the option of bringing them or not. I won't organise anything just yet but will pick this thread up sometime in June to see if there is any more interest and if we all can commit.

EmmaTMG · 26/04/2003 21:09

But surely if I have a night away alone with my fellow Netters my house will crumble to the ground....How will they cope without me? Only joking of course. I'd love too but DH works all sorts of odd hours and it's really hard to arrange stuff so I'll look forward to all the posts about your adventures whilst roaming the country!

Meanmum - if the overnight conference is a goer - do you fancy moving it to a "Mumsetter Meet-ups" thread ? Many people who may be interested in going may not have spotted it on this one as it had been about a slightly different thing. Ta

CraftyCat · 27/04/2003 13:38

Edgarcat - I am near Chichester today too - maybe I will miaow loudly???

Meanmum · 27/04/2003 20:33

I will move this to a mumsnetter meet up thread for us and anyone who may have missed it.

Demented · 28/04/2003 14:24

There were an awful lot of mums with small children in my local Costa coffee shop today, I wondered if any of them were Mumsnetters.

Meanmum · 28/04/2003 14:25

Not me but I wish I was. I love coffee.

whymummy · 28/04/2003 16:13

why dont we hum a song when we think theres potential mumsnetters around?something like "sometimes is hard to be a womaaaan"???
