you're on the wrong thread surely JT

colditz · 28/04/2005 00:48

Don't forget the powder... I'll cat you some

AussieSim · 28/04/2005 05:25

If you were like my DH you wouldn't. Try his method of just letting everything dry onto surfaces nicely and stink up the dishwasher till someone else discovers it.

WideWebWitch · 28/04/2005 06:17

I would only put it on if I was very sure it was full, are you really?

Fran1 · 28/04/2005 06:55

Follow my dp's advice and try and see if you can fit two large washing powder tablets in the door rather than a dishwasher one.

TheVillageIdiot · 28/04/2005 08:24

Phone your GP he should be able to advise you better

HappyDaddy · 28/04/2005 08:28

Maybe it's pregnant

Caligula · 28/04/2005 08:56

Have you checked the salt?

ninah · 28/04/2005 09:02

I wouldn't jump to conclusions. Maybe it only seems full, but there is a perfectly rational explanation.

sorry!

JoolsToo · 28/04/2005 09:18

have been awake all night thinking what to do. Thanks for all your advice, I think once I've got the breakfast things in there I'll throw caution to the wind and get it going - wish me luck!

what would I do without MN?

Have you offered it a cup of tea jools?

That usually solves most problems

ninah · 28/04/2005 16:17

let us know how you get on ...

tarantula · 28/04/2005 16:23

tsk tsk I dunno Mothers of today When I were young we washed the dishs by hand in cold water without any of this fancy chemical stuff If you had dishes that is folk were so poor then they all ate out of the one bowl!!!

Dishwashers I dunno what is the world coming to?

hhhhhhhmmmmm think I might be pregnant

Gizmo · 28/04/2005 16:39

Jools, I think you need to talk to it. Point out that this is affecting you very badly and you need it to make up its mind whether it should start or not. If it won't give you a straight answer then I'm afraid you probably need to talk to your solicitor.

It's not fair of it to leave you in limbo like this. I feel for you, really, I do.

Caligula · 30/04/2005 21:38

Jools, do you have any update on this? How did it go? Did you start it in the end? And if so, did it do the dishes properly or leave smears on them?

I've been really worried about this - fingers have been crossed all weekend for you!

JoolsToo · 30/04/2005 23:14

thanks very much for the concern - it successfully completed the cycle [sigh of relief] no smears and everything sparking!

Caligula - can you give me some tips on the salt thing - I'm new to dishwashers - do you need salt if you have the tablets with a blue blob on them?
