My sister is having a Virgin Vie party next week. Have been to a few before. Just wondered if anyone could recommend any good products from them that are worth buying.

I remember winning a sample pot of Guardian Angel once. Have found that very good.

Don't get the glitter body mousse stuff - it gets everywhere & hard to get off your hands after applying it! Stick with the bath stuff & makeup is my advice.
We have a discount VV shop not too far away

I went to a VV party last week and was not impressed with the products - very cheap formulations selling at horrendous prices. It was a skin care party, but I thought I was going to a colour party .

I ended up buying a glass nail file and will be sticking to Olay.

the golden stuff that is an exfoliator. not sure the name, comes in a glass jar. its lovely.

also the powder all in one foundation is very good.

I wasn't impressed with Virgin Vie either. Very expensive. I did spend £30 on some hair shine and a blusher.... oh and a liquid eyeliner that I don't remember ordering and can't even use!

I sat looking on in bewilderment at the beautiful blonde girl telling us that she understands what a NIGHTMARE it is to go out wearing lots of different layers of scent that don't match eg. Bath Foam, then full body moisturiser & face moisturiser, then body spray, then deoderant and finally perfume!!! Yeah...total 'mare man.... am so embarassed about it!
So how amazing is it that VV have brought out a range of these products whose scents complement eachother perfectly!? WTF? Who has time to apply all that religiously everyday? And I don't care if my Johnson Shower Gel doesn't compliment my Sure deoderant and my Eau de Toilette! lol

Found it aimed at ladeez of leisure, not busy working Mums!
But I had a nice time and lots of wine!!!

spykid · 29/04/2005 12:39

Dior, went to a vv party on tuesday, to reorder my fave sheer mulberry to find out its being discontinued in june, so get your orders in now!! aaarrggh!
I also ordreded the wardrobe, great value!(and great minds)

I wore VV's Opal lipgloss (on it's own) on my wedding day

FLUM · 29/04/2005 12:46

NDP - only lip gloss - no other make up at all?

NomDePlume · 29/04/2005 12:46

My lips are naturally quite dark in comparison to my skin, so I can get away with a slick of vaseline or gloss.

I use their creme bronzer stuff and rate it. I did buy their day cream but it is really heavy and greasy on me and it come sin a pot whereas I prefer it from a tube.
