daft question, but i go to two p&t groups, one is v small, about 3 of us! and is fading fast, only met up with one mum once and she hasn't suggested it since even though our dds got on really well.

dd is fab (really!) she's 2.6m, very chatty, polite, thoughtful, doesn't shove or push and loves to share and play with other kids, she's thrilled when she sees other kids, and i feel awful because she's desperate to play with other kids but i don't seem to be finding places where this seems to happen.

we're both not scruffy or stinky, so thats not scaring people off! but if we go out to the park for example, there isn't any mingling or kids are too busty oplaying with their own group!

please help, its really worring me now that dd is missing out and she hasn't got any 'real' friends that we sort of know we could just pop round or meet up with.

tbh I didn't find real friends for dd1 until she went into preschool/playgroup sessions at 2 1/2. I now have a good circle of friends but its taken until dd1 got into reception and two subsequent children.

to start with I just took the lead and invited someone back for lunch after toddlers, prepared myself that they were busy and suggested a back up plan for another day.
