What do you do.. An idiot's guide.

After speaking to an accountant today I realised I didn't really have any idea what their job involved except a vague "something with numbers" so I thought this might be a good thread to start for people like me and to maybe blow away some wrong assumptions.

I'll start.

I'm a Veterinary Nurse.

My job involves assisting the vets for procedures by restraining animals, taking blood samples, monitoring their anaesthetics, administering some medications, running blood tests and worm counts and sending lumps and bumps etc away, looking after in patients, and liaising with owners about fat pets, diabetics etc

I am a eningeer for an insurance company.

I spend all day telling twatty blokes why their car is a total write off, when it's going to cost five grand to repair and it's only worth 1500 quid...... its bloody hard work

I'm a weirdo - it involves being weird!

I have 2 jobs

I sell mainstream type clothes that involves taking photos editing them and uploading them to an FTP lient
and describing them and putting them on my website getting them into the search engines
and then when someone buys them check their CC details and pack the order and send it off.

my other job is organisng events locally as a rule inviting other businesses along to a place I've hired and advertise it
sometimes I have family fun days with a balloon makeage person & face painter
and bouncy catsle and what not

I can'ttell you what I do or I'd have to eat myself.
I can say I work for a regulatory body.
