Do your knickers always match your bra?

DH, who I have been happily showing my knickers to for over 8 years now, announced this evening as I was getting ready to go out for his birthday 'your underwear doesn't match'. I had on a white bra (wearing thin white blouse, is hot) and black knicks (was being nice putting on lacy thongy things to keep him happy).
Turns out he thinks that women ALL wear matching underwear ALL of the time! He claims he had never noticed that I didn't!
Please tell me I am not the only woman in the world who wears underwear that is not matching!!

I might not wear ANY on my wedding day...

quackers · 23/04/2003 16:26

That would be different! Don't do what I did and had a dress with about a thousand buttons down the back and my husband couldn't undo the dress at 3 in the morning!! That got a laugh when I had to call my sister to come to my aid!!!
We got some stick by all our guests staying at the hotel that night!!!!!

Ah... I had thousands of little buttons which were decorative only - there was a zip underneath

And I had matching underwear.

I rarely wore bra or knickers in the good old pre pregnancy days. If I could feasibly go without then I did. If I wore a thong I would need surgery to remove it. Grossly uncomfortable.

Like Bron I also have the "monthly" knicks which are plain but they do the job. Otherwise it is thongs, very comfy!!!!!

I'm with you Beetroot. It makes me feel better and takes little time compared with hair/make-up etc. Also I'm probably earning myself the sad label here but I tend to match my underwear to my clothes if possible.

I have loads of beautiful matching sets - that I have not worn since the summer before I became pregnant with DD! Although I am happy to report that just yesterday I finally fit back into a fancy bra that had been gathering dust for quite awhile. No idea where the matching panties have gone to, though...probably somewhere in the huge pile of laundry downstairs that has yet to be folded!

Definitely a fan of thongs! Find them way more comfortable.

Does anyone know how to work out what bra size you should be? My dd is just like June - busting out all over - but would die of embarrassment if I took her to be fitted. I know there is some way of working it by adding or subtracting various measurements

Snugs · 26/04/2003 12:19

Try here

Tells you how to measure and also explains a lot of the common fitting mistakes.

Many thanks, Snugs
