dad was a big fan of battisti and beegees, so that's what we'd listen to every thursday on our way to the orthodontist...

yes, he's been after one for ages, finally got one, I had to bring back various bits for it, but now it looks like it's te engine that needs replacing... oh, and he has an ape too, he just needs to get it shipped from my parents' house...

Camomilla · 28/04/2009 14:19

my sis's fav when she was little

francagoestohollywood · 28/04/2009 14:20

and what about Tanta voglia di lei dei pooh I love it

Oh I loved bee gees too as a child, I had the 33 giri della febbre del sabato sera!

Camomilla · 28/04/2009 14:22

could go on and on, fiori rosa, fiori di pesco, un'avventura, pensieri e parole, emozioni, acqua azzurra acqua chiara, etc... deinetly my fav italian singer songwriter

Camomilla · 28/04/2009 14:23

we had that record too, still do in fact!

francagoestohollywood · 28/04/2009 14:23

I love 29 settembre

Camomilla · 28/04/2009 14:35

oh, this

Sputnik · 28/04/2009 14:40

Sorry I can't join in on the 70's music nostalgia fest, it leaves me cold!

Yes Masseuse, we are having a crisis as moving to Rome we couldn't get DD a place in the scuola materna for next year as we're not resident there yet. So we're considering english schools. TBH we hadn't though it would be a problem as there is no problem with places where we live atm.

Camomilla · 28/04/2009 15:07

sputnik, we can do 70s brit too

Rosa · 28/04/2009 15:08

Answer was partially soaked simply as the rain easied off as I was out getting dd. Coming back there were TONS of police near the big bridge we cross not far from the university I wonder if there was a protest or something but then I thought maybe Carlo & Cammila was having a visit there ...BOH anyway about 30 cops watched as I went up and down the bridge holding dd hand ( in boots and mantellina )and the buggy - with rain cover and me in raincoat....Then the commandante came round the corner and said ma nessuno ha almeno offerta un a mano a la signora !!!!
Had alaugh at some of those links guys ..POOH anybody ?
Now the sun has come out ....... not sure for how long !

A visit to Don carmelo will not help me tbh as the RC school told me today she will not be 'allowed' to go on the waiting list because she HAD to have a priest letter already. Oh never mind the RC.

Masseuse thanks but we've got an inspiring priest here at our local CofE. If I was forced to go to church I'd go here as the vicar (?) is really cool.

I've realised that one of the proof of addresses I gave the LEA was of my old address and dd DOB was wrong. How stupid can I be? Apparently it's ok as they guessed it was a mistake from birth certificate and other addresses and did not make a difference. che idiota!!!

I like this 70s revival but I have got no energy to join in. sorry.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 28/04/2009 15:11

did the comandante help in the end?

francagoestohollywood · 28/04/2009 16:02

Rosa, I've just got back from 2 school runs totally soaked , blimey it's torrential.

Yes, I can do a bit of Brit 1970stoo... though it is less strappa lacrime, I find.

gio71 · 28/04/2009 16:03

also love Battisti, am singing away to your link Camomilla.
Am dreading when ds is old enough to watch movies as dp is massive fan of Italian trash movies which I just can't get and I just know those 2 will be giggling away while me -the straniera mamma -sits on the sofa as it flies over my head!
Bloody, crappy weather! Had to go to Asl this morn to sort doctor. Got absolutely drenched! Had a bar of milka choc to comfort me with a cup of tea later.
Made a ragu for tonight and forgot it! It's verging on burnt but may just say sod it and have it anyway-what do you reckon-if make a lasagne and disguise it with bechemel and cheese may get away with it....?????

francagoestohollywood · 28/04/2009 16:26

Yes, I think you can save it with a bit of besciamella. Maybe just throw away the burnt bit if it's sticked to the pan.

Oh ask your dh what's his favourite? I also love Italian trashy movies (my excuse is that i'm a cinefila and have eclectic tastes ) up until the 1980s, I think new ones are too awful!

I need to go in 5 mins and make sugo as well, my dad is coming for dinner, as mum has gone away with her friends for a few days on a fantozzi like trip.

francagoestohollywood · 28/04/2009 16:26

stuck, even

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 28/04/2009 16:42

what's a fantozzi like trip?

francagoestohollywood · 28/04/2009 17:01

they are going to amsterdam by coach. I can actualy picture filini organizing it...

Camomilla · 28/04/2009 17:03

you mean she's gone with a nuvoletta following her ?

yes, just do some pasta al forno with besciamella, you should be ok... my fav bits of pasta bake/lasagne are the burnt bits though...

got pork chops for tonight, and zucchine, if DP'll cook them as I'm off for a soak in the bath, think I might have the start of cold/tonsillitis again...

Camomilla · 28/04/2009 17:03

aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh

francagoestohollywood · 28/04/2009 17:21

Oh no, not again camo

Lol at nuvolone dell'impiegato. I'm pretty sure they also have one of those

gio71 · 28/04/2009 19:56

lasagne was nice in the end, didnt taste burnt . cant believe eating pasta al forno end of April-should be on spaghetti primavera by now!!
Franca just asked dp what his favourite trash movie is, its Vieni Avanti Cretino and we have just sat through you tube clips of it with him and ds giggling away as I knew would happen!
Have got trapped nerve in his shoulder and is getting me down, off to take another aulin

Rosa · 28/04/2009 20:01

DH likes any of those films that have that big fat guy and the thin blonde one in - He says he doesn't but he always stops when he is doing hsi giro with the remote control !
Not you as well Gio with teh shoulder - it was Franca the other week - hope it gets better soon.
Camomila hope it is not a nasty throat again you poor thing.
Dh went to the bank so much for the interest rates etc going down - they just seem to slap on higher charges for X Y and Z ...Well I was terzo in our group to have a baby so maybe we will be terzo in this group to buy a mousehole flat

francagoestohollywood · 28/04/2009 20:10

Ah, Vieni Avanti Cretino ! (still have fond memories of watching it with db in his bedroom and laughing ourselves silly! gosh my parents really were liberal with the tv ).
Oh no! Not another maldischiena! I took painkillers until 2 days ago.

Rosa, here's to the rosas finding a nice flat asap (or would you make me a spritz?)

francagoestohollywood · 28/04/2009 20:11

Who rosa, bud spencer e terence hill? A firm favourite in my household in the 1970s, especially altrimenti c'arrabbiamo
