Rosa, don't go out, you will get swept away. I got drenched crossing the road to get to the station. I have to walk through Milan this afternoon and I can see myself getting soaked through by the cars driving through giant puddles.

Sputnik, I'd have chickened out too, this is a typical day when I'd work from home. Unfortunately I have unmoveable appointments today and tomorrow. Grrr.

Heating's gone back on in our block too. Just as well as my washing was growing mushrooms.

Just got one prospectus from a private school. bloody hell, not cheap!

PS: went to charity shop and got: tazza da latte for dd2 which she didn't have, 2 paintings, a book and a recipe notebook. all for a tenner. That's more my style. I wonder if I will be allowed to go to charity shop if dd in private school

...thinking about it the charity shop is the only place I will be able to afford. I'm going to start buying H&M as if it's Armani .

Moan away Damon, I feel your pain. At least your private school isn't religious (or is it?) which was the only choice we had here.

I miss charity shops, anything second hand here is classed as "vintage" and charged for accordingly.
