DO YOU HAVE ANY CAR BOOT BARGAINS?

Went out to the Ashley Heath car boot sale this morning. Most of the stuff out there looked like a load of rubbish but came across a little ironing board for the kids for only £1!!! Am chuffed to bits - have been looking at them in ELC and Toys R Us and they are really expensive to buy new.
Have you picked any bargains up at a car boot?

Louee that's excellent. Well done you. Just goes to show doesn't it - a bit of rubbish to someone else is fantastic to another person.

I bought antique tailors' scissors from an antique shop for £80. loved them. Then found identical pair in car boot sale for £1. Wasn't sure whether to be delighted or horrified but they sit side by side on my mantelpiece looking gorgeous together, the cheap ones and the dear ones.

charleepeters · 24/04/2005 21:19

A Muzzy French Language course (£120+ new) for £1. And then found ANOTHER ONE for a fiver which I sold on Ebay for a profit of £80!

SPARKLER1 · 25/04/2005 12:46

Nottellingyet - that is fantastic. I have a friend who finds bargains like that. My ironing board was a £1 and I thought that was a bargain.

my friend met her husband at a car boot. he did turn out to be like most things you get at car boots though. seemed like a good idea at the time, real bargain, but turned out to be a bit of a let down and not last as long as expected.

she's always spouting that off. thinks it funny in a 'divorce humour' kinda way
