NBG... I am also shit scared of flying! You may wonder then why I would 1) fly to australia 2) do so on friday 13th

The answer is mostly that I am stupid and didn't realise until I had bought the tickets.
And that my lovely GP gives me lorazepam to take on the flight

You going native gggl? I seem to recall the French being far more concerned about Friday 13th than us Brits.
I'd think twice, then book. You know deep down it is not going to affect your safety really...

i remember years ago it was friday 13th and i was in the kitchen ironing and my little dog was fast asleep in her box... the iron wires blew up for no apparant reason and the dog had a big fright and legged it up stairs where my mum was !!

and its also DP's family number as Dps one sis, DPs DD (not my DD), Dp's ex (which is DPs DD mum) and Dps mum all born on the 13th

gg, interested to hear your child born on June 7th, I know so many people born on that date (inc. me!) that its quite uncanny!

However as for flying on Fri 13th, yes I would, it would be more pleasant being on a less full flight (if indeed that is the case).

Flying is the safest form of transport (I'm going on a train up to London on that day)

In dh's country it is Tuesday 13th that is a problem - now I bet you wouldn't think twice about flying on that date. Go for it.

My ds was born on Fri 13th....my lucky day.

Plus my mil has an old book on superstitions(spelling..eek!) and it says that it was made up in the Victorian times, purely made up.
I hope...
