I have a loft bed that is practically brand new that I need to shift. I've tried to sell it, and can't so today I have been calling funiture recycling projects. They are telling me that unless it can be moved in one piece they can't take it as they are not staffed to reassemble anything.

What shall I do now? Seems such a waste to just get rid of it. Someone must want it. Anyone?!

BS, if you can't shift it here, are there housing projects that might want it? Or is that what you've tried?

I've tried the furniture recycling places that pass furniture on to people with low incomes - is that what you mean?
(Can't move Bean until I move this bed...!!! Argh!)

What about local hospices?

Where are you BS?

motherinferior · 21/04/2005 16:39

Yep, that was what I was thinking. Hell. Will rack brians.

It's a loft bed, so a high level bed bit with desk/storage space underneath. Would that be any good to a hospice?

Our local Lions club do a furniture "rehoming" thing.

Thanks SG, have joined and posted.
LS - will track down my local lions - thanks!!

Any other ideas? My 6 mo ds is still in our romm but we can't move him until we get this bed sorted and (much as we love him) we really want our room back!!

If anyone on here wants it, you are welcome to it!!
