pregnant after two miscarriages and worried

6 months ago I had my first miscarriage, my second was 3 months ago. without knowing I fell pregnant within a month of the last miscarriage and I am now 12 wks. I can't help worrying about health of my unborn baby.

Wouldn't worry. My ds2 was conceived 6 weeks after a m/carriage (without knowing). When I went to the early pregnancy unit for a scan the person who did it just said "ooh didn't you do well- well done". The "wait three months rule" tends to be for emotional reasons for early m/carriages. I was worried as well, but was reassured - and ds2 is now 15 months and absolutely fine.

hi tabsmum,first of all congratulations ,i also had 2 miscarriages before i had my son and i needlessly worried throughout the pregnancy im sure youll be fine,keep us posted!!

Also had two miscarriages then went on to have two dds. Try not to worry - v difficult, I know. I went to the early pregnancy unit for scans (internal) to locate heartbeat as was convinced I was on my way to another miscarriage - fortunate to have had a v sympathetic unit that were happy to let me have more scans than usual - also paid for scanning at the Foetal Medicine Centre in London. I was rather paranoid.

tabsmum, I had 2 miscarriages before conceiving dd, then another m/c and then ds. A lot depends on when the miscarriages happened - if they were early then the fact you have got to 12 weeks is a really good sign. Can you be referred early to have a scan to check everything is alright this time?

Dont worry - I had something similar with no1, didn't even know I was preg after miscarriage, and another m/s before baby 3 (now 12 weeks). Health of baby should not be a problem. Low dose of aspirin can help if you have further problems - ask your GP/obstetrics.
