What makes you glad your a grown up???

I was baking a cake other day and secretly kept the bowl for myself to lick and not shout to DS it's to come do it. It made me think how great it is to be a grown up sometimes, and what do you do that makes you glad your a grown up?

Um, sex?

I like that I don't feel the need to go to vertical drinking establishments.

Just being able to say, 'because I'm the grown up and I'm in charge' is pretty high on my list!

Being able to buy what I want when I go food shopping.

Being able to buy a huge bar of Cadburys and eat it in the car on my own!!

EVEN on a non-sweets day - so yah boo

Deciding that if I want, I can eat a whole toblerone and call it lunch.

And then crave salad for 2 days...

NEVER having to do sport of any kind.

I'm so pleased I'm not the only person who has guilty (mostly food related)reasons. My most memorable i'm a grown up moment was going out and getting a kitten!!!
Reality, will take your word on raw egg on toast!

Whenever I have to walk past the local secondary school at the same time as the kids, I remember how awful it was to be a teenager. I feel insecure and relieved at the same time.

Reading posts about how mean 8/9yo girls can be - I remember that, and how awful it was, and am so glad that I can walk away from that (and that adults are at least more subtle )

Not having some evil mother telling me to get off the 'puter after half an hour.
