British Airways....

My luggage transfer at Terminal 5. It was opened and now the Ipod which was inside is gone!

How do I complain about it and get compensation? I know it was 'just an ipod'. But I am on mat leave and just can't be replacing stuff that I paid them to look after for me.

I would start by phoning customer services and see what they recommend.

Hi Foxy. Are you back? What a welcome home!

How about logging a complaint to BA, then speak to your Insurance and see what the best thing to do is. You will probably be able to claim off your insurance but they will have a protocol on what needs to happen before the claim is valid ie a complaint lodged with the airline.

Hope to see you on Sept 08, we miss you

OneLieIn · 21/03/2009 07:01

Complain fir starters. Do you have travel insurance? If so, you should be able to claim from them if you can prove that you complained to the airline and they did nothing.

yes back lots to do round here

Have you reported it to the police?

foxytocin · 21/03/2009 07:48

no only discovered last night when unpacking suitcase.

Annoying that with all this security to corral the sheep that they completely forget, overlook the wolves.

just how their security can sneak stuff out of our baggage, and they don't give a shit, they can sneak stuff into our bags.

a fecking joke when everytime we have to take our shoes off before getting onto a plane.

You will need to report it to the police in case you need to claim on your insurance.
