Mothering sunday in1962

Could someone help me figure out what date mothering sunday was in 1962 my children are asking as my birhtday is just a few days after and not having mum around any more to ask they where wondering when she had her first mothers day, have tried google but cant seem to find it any help would be brillaint

I think it's always 3 weeks before Easter Sunday if that's any help. It's about halfway between the beginning of Lent and Easter, and was traditionally the day when girls in service where allowed to go home for the day and visit their Mums.

would of been the 18th (3rd sunday)or 25th (4th sunday) - sorry can't remember which week it is in the month

If it is always the fourth Sunday after Ash Wednesday, then it would be Sunday 1st April.

seems it was the 1st of april so she would have had her 1st mothrers day that year.
