Where to get a Bunk bed ladder???

The bunk beds we bought have been used as single beds for years - we now want to make them into bunk beds but have lost the ladder (various house moves ago)
Is it possible to buy a universal ladder that just clips on does anyone know???

Ikea sell a loft bed ladder separately to their bunk beds. No idea what it is called, sorry. Don't know if it just clips on either. You might have to do something with a power drill.

Just phoned IKEA - and they dont do one

I think you need a joiner, Tb. A loftbed ladder would probably be too high anyway.

Our bunkbeds have a wide deep ladder which stands on the floor and leans in, so it's easier to climb up and down but takes up a lot of floor; but that kind or a vertical one that hooks on should be a doddle for a joiner/carpenter to make for you (possibly not cheap though...)

Is there a woodyard near you? Have a look in Yellow Pages for "joinery supplies". If you ring them and tell them what you want they can probably recommend someone local who could do it.

Or if you put in "carpenters & joiners" it'll come up with a list but a recommendation would be better.

Thanks JanH
