Views on a classic car convoy.

thinking of doing a fund raising event for charity, and my dad has given me a great idea!!! he loves classic cars and has a hillman minx series 2 jubilee and he thought about doing a sort of classic car convoy, he would aproach our local classic car club and hopefully get people to sponser! i thought it was a good idea and its something different!! we could do a run of it through the local towns and stopping on the way getting more and more sponsers!

Slightly different but we have a classic tractor and car run through our village and local ones every now and again. It's lovely to see the tractors and cars as long as you're not stuck behind them!! (We get quite a few comments on them blocking the roads)

Perhaps have the classic cars held somewhere and then they could do a run round and back for people to see them going. Hold a raffle and 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize could be a trip in the cars.

You'd have to speak to the police I imagine about having a convoy of cars and possibily as it is an advertised event think about insurance to. Speak to the classic car club and also someone like the Brighton to London Classic Car run for more info.
