Advice needed on cot / bed dilemma

Hi, I have recently had dc3. Dc2 is almost 20mths and still in cotbed. Have dilemma cos was planning on buying cot for dc3 but am now considering buying a bed for dc2. What would you do??

How about a bed with a cotside.

DD1 (3) still has hers on and dd2 (18mths) loves climbing on and getting in.

We were lucky as we were given an extra cot when dd2 was born.

If you're not convinced that dc2 is ready, get a second hand cot and new mattress for the next year.

(incidentally even when dd was out of cot we still had stairgate o to contain to one room!)
