Budget-Child Trust Fund-Help!

How dim am I? I didn't even realise it was Budget Day today! I am far too preoccupied with being pregnant I think. Anyway, what is this child trust fund thing, does anyone know? From the way it reads on teletext, any baby born since Sept 2002 gets a savings scheme of some sort with £250 in it or something. Sounds good eh? There must be a catch. Anyone out there know?

Dahlia, here is the press release: Children's Trust fund . Looks like a savings account with a dollop of cash from the Govt to begin with - have to wait and see what the incentives are to put anything into it though!
